Northern Kentucky Tornado Relief Sites Accepting Donations.


For those wishing to donate items, below is an extensive list of organizations in Northern Kentucky accepting donations for tornado relief, also found and updated online here

MOST LOCATIONS are no longer taking clothes at this time. If this opens up again we will let you know. There are some exceptions to this...see below.

Donation Drop off locations and locations where Volunteers can report to:

Adecco in Grant County is now accepting ALL donations. Their address- is 118 South Main Street Dry Ridge , Ky. 41035 and you can call 859-824-0662. Monday-Friday 8-5, Cindy McNay & Kathy Mullins are the contacts.

Burlington Baptist Church:
Accepting donations of all types EXCEPT clothing/shoes/purses . Mon-Wed 9-5. depending on the response we may be open till the weekend. Anyone in the Hebron, Petersburg, Bellview Bottoms, and Burlington area can make donations there.

Christ United Methodist Church: 1440 Boone Aire Rd. Florence KY is officially a drop off point for the following items: Cleaning Supplies, Laundry Supplies, Medical supplies, Hygeine Items, Towels, Blankets, Pillows, Non-Perishable Food Items, Paper products such as paper towels-tissues-toilet paper-plates, Bags of Socks and Underwear, Plastic Tubs, Baby Items such as formula-food-diapers and wipes. All items collected will be delivered this Thursday AND next Thursday to the Crittenden Fire Dept. Donations can be dropped off Monday thru Friday from 9am-1pm AND Monday from 6-8pm and Wednesday from 5pm-8pm. If these times do not work please message me (Carolyn Marie-Hankins Wolfe) directly and she can meet you at the church. All items for the relief effort are asked to be placed in the church library (to the left once you enter the church's main entrance).

City of Taylor Mill will be sponsoring a food drive to support those impacted by the the March 2, 2012 Tornados in our Region. As a result, we are accepting donations of the following items through March 12, 2012 at our offices located... at 5225 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY.

• NON-Perishable Canned Meats
• Individual Juice Bottles
• Individual Bottles Gator Aid/Rehydration Fluids
• NON-Perishable Canned Foods
• NON-Perishable READY to EAT Foods, with Pop Tops
• Snack Foods and Cereals
• Personal Hygiene Supplies (deodorant, soap, etc)
• Over the Counter Medications for adults and kids (such as antacids, pain reliever, anti diarrhea)
• Dog Food/Cat Food
• Boost/Ensure
• Garbage Bags
• Utility Gloves
• Can Openers
• Diapers/Formula
• Flashlights WITH batteries
• Instant drink mixes (coffee, tea, etc)

Unfortunately, we are NOT able to collect clothing, furniture, or perishable foods. Donations will currently be accepted through Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Taylor Mill City Building M through F, 8 am to 5 pm. After hour and weekend donations can be dropped off at the Taylor Mill Fire Department.

Covington Police Department - There is a box set up in the lobby for personal hygiene items, non perishable food, bottled water, diapers (for babies and adults), cleaning supplies, paper products, etc. (No clothing at this time please). Crescent Springs Fire Department - We will collect the items and transport them by trailer as needed. Hours: 6am - 6pm daily. Address is 777 overlook dr, Crescent Springs Ky. We will accept anything people want to donate and then transport it were needed

Durr Branch Library in Independence. Is accepting nonperishable items, cleaning supplies, paper products and other items (no clothing please) The Library will get it delivered to those in need. 1992Walton-Nicholson Road. 962-4060 Mon-Fri 9-9, Sat 10-5

Edgewood Police Department in Kenton County. Thanks to Chief Kramer, I received approval to accept donations at our department and will be the main point of contact. Currently we are accepting any tools, tarps, nails, water, non-perishable food items, boots, work gloves. We are also accepting clothing items. Contact info: 385 Dudley Road, Edgewood KY 41017. We are accepting items 24/7 and will continue collecting until the American Red Cross says they are no longer in need of items. There is an after-hours phone in the lobby for donations made between 7pm-7am that will ring in the police department if an officer is at the PD at that time. If no one answers, please place items under the sign "Place Tornado Donations Here" and an officer will collect them as soon as they are back in the office. Thanks!!

First Baptist Church in Walton, KY is going to be a HUB for Disaster Relief donations for the Northern Kentucky Baptist Association. If you have anything available to donate, please stop by the church. The church will be open Sunday 7-7 and all next week from 9-8 and will continue to receive donations as long as they come in. No Clothing
Items needed: New pillows, sheet sets, stage 3 baby food, fabric softener, stain remover, underwear, pet supplies, chapstick, OTC medications, granola bars and other ready to eat foods, laundry detergent. We are completely out of Depends, brooms, mops, and size 6 women's underwear. We are out of hair brushes, light bulbs, and low on chips, pretzels etc. We are finding that most people don't want canned goods yet. They are looking for things they can eat while they clean. If you would like to volunteer to help at the church, please call the county office at 859-654-6540.

Simon Kenton High School will be collecting items from families amd students in their front foyer beginning Monday morning in order to help the tornado victims in Piner. Items will continue to be accepted all week. 859-960-0100. The school building is open from 7am-3pm Suggested items: -Gift cards ( Kroger, Ace Hardware, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, local eating establishments) -Monetary donations. There isn't one certain person who is coordinating this yet.
