Currently listening to: "No Longer Slaves" by Bethel Music with Jonathan David & Melissa Helser

Such a beautiful song with powerful lyrics!

"I'm no longer a slave to fear; I am a child of God."

"Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10

Currently listening to: "My Story" by Big Daddy Weave

I'm a bit obsessed with this song currently. Such a good one by Big Daddy Weave.

"If I told you my story, you would see Life. But it wasn't mine."

Currently listening to: "How Can It Be" by Lauren Daigle

I have excitedly discovered a new favorite artist! Lauren Daigle has a beautiful, strong voice and, most importantly, sings the Gospel message so clearly and powerfully in her lyrics. She is a new artist with her debut album being released soon. I encourage you to check out her music further!

Currently listening to: "This Road" by Jars of Clay

I have loved this song for many years, but just recently came across it again on an old CD in my car. The lyrics are sweet to the soul and a great prayer for those "acquainted with many sorrows."

Currently Listening to: "More than Conquerors" by Rend Collective

The fact that this band is from Northern Ireland makes them cool enough, but lately, I have been listening to a lot of Rend Collective and they have some really great songs. "More than Conquerors" is perfect during this Easter season, as we reflect on how Christ's death and resurrection has allowed us, as believers, victory over death and sin.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8:35-37

Currently Listening to: "The Heart" by NeedtoBreathe

NeedToBreathe is, hands-down, my favorite music group. They are so stinkin' talented and true songwriters. Here's one of the new songs off their upcoming album, Rivers in the Wasteland, that I have been listening to a lot lately. Check out their music, it is amazing.

Currently Listening to: "With Every Act of Love" by Jason Gray

I just love this song, so full of hope in a world full of hate. Thank you for your grace, Lord Jesus.

Currently listening to: "This is My Father's World," rendition by Fernando Ortega.

With the flooding that has destroyed so many people's lives just miles from our home and with many other sad events going on around the world, this song has been a great encouragement to me lately. I find much hope in the line, "This is my Father’s world. O let me ne’er forget that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet."

Currently Listening to: "Though You Slay Me" by Shane & Shane (featuring John Piper).

On the heels of a third miscarriage in two years (praising God that I was not far along), a dear friend recommended this song to me. It's beautiful. And the message from John Piper at the end brought me to tears. Nothing is meaningless.

May we see God in our suffering. He's enough.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Currently listening to: Threaten Me with Heaven by Vince Gill.

I first heard this song last night while watching the Healing in the Heartland benefit concert on Youtube and its lyrics are so powerful, and yet so simple for those who believe in Christ. Death has lost its sting and we look forward to our homecoming, when one day we'll be reunited with our Lord and God.

Take a listen, Vince Gill does an amazing job and it is such a touching tribute to those who lost their lives in Moore, Oklahoma.

"Precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of his saints."
Psalm 116:15

Currently listening to: Worn by Tenth Avenue North.

This song is amazing in its raw honesty. And then... I watched the music video, and it's even more amazing! The lyrics also bring to mind those suffering so much right now in Moore, Oklahoma. My prayers are going out to the families who have had their lives shattered by this devastating tornado.

"I know that You can give me rest."

Currently Listening to: Who You Are by JJ Heller.

Another amazing song by JJ Heller:

 She says, I don't know,
I don't know what you're doing,
but I know who you are.
