Some Immediate Ways to Help Joplin.

I have taken the following information straight from KCTV 5 News, based out of Kansas City.  Here are some immediate ways to help the many people affected by the tornado that struck Joplin this past Sunday.  Right now, there is a great need for financial gifts as well as blood donors and on site volunteers. I will try to post more options as needs become more clear.

- Financial donations to The Salvation Army disaster relief efforts may be made by texting the word ARMY to 90999 for an automatic $10 donation. To make a credit card donation, call 1-800-SAL-ARMY or go to SalvationArmy.us. Checks may be mailed to The Salvation Army, 3637 Broadway Ave., Kansas City, MO 64111.

- The Red Cross has said they are in need of blood donations. Those interested can donate $10 by texting REDCROSS to 90999. Donations can be made at RedCross.org.
