Happy 2012! A new vision for Fru-Gal.org (and some exciting news)!

Hello and Happy 2012!

I feel like it has been a long while since I last blogged and I thoroughly enjoyed the "time off" during the holidays. We spent a week with my family in New York, with twenty or so relatives celebrating together on Christmas, including all of my cousins on my dad's side! Anna was thoroughly spoiled by presents and attention, and she loved every minute with grandma and grandpa! I'm afraid I've been quite a boring replacement for her now that we are back home again.

Jesse and I were also able to meet up with several of our dear friends, including a spontaneous visit with our college friends, Nina and Mike! We took a day trip and met them halfway between their family's home in Pittsburgh and ours in Binghamton!

The cousins together!

With Nina and Mike, at a local coffee shop in Lock Haven, PA that had Gospel for Asia books and pamphlets!
This week, I have been preparing for Anna's 2nd birthday on Saturday! We're throwing her a Minnie Mouse birthday party Friday evening and I have several preparations still to-do, including baking a Minnie Mouse birthday cake and sugar cookies, as well as wrapping more presents! However, I wanted to take a moment to say hello to my faithful readers, and let you know that I'm still alive. I'm also working on the beginnings of a new vision for Fru-Gal.org, which the time away from blogging has helped me solidify.

I have wanted to be more specific in my blog's focus for a while, in order to help both myself stay organized in my posting, as well as for readers to have an easier road map when they access my blog. With the help of my tech savvy husband, I will be restructuring my blog in the upcoming weeks, emphasizing certain aspects and de-emphasizing others. Also, and most excitedly, we are expecting our newest addition to the family, another sweet baby, due in early July! This big milestone has made me consider even more seriously the need for a more streamlined blog as I re-enter the "parenting to a newborn" phase with a toddler to boot.

My growing baby bump! I was 11 weeks here, 12/17/11.
So all that to say, thank you for your continued support of Fru-Gal.org and frugal living for the grace of giving. I'm certain you will be pleased with the outcome and will be happy to find that the heart of Fru-Gal.org remains the same. Now, I'm off to bake a cake!

God bless you in the New Year!

  1. Congrats, Kelly, on the new baby-to-be! Looking forward to seeing what you have in mind for the blog, too! We went back to NY for Christmas as well and our little guy (he'll be 1 on Sunday!) was also thoroughly spoiled, so I know what you mean by her being bored with just you at home ;)
