Sending Boxes, Giving Hope. exists as an up-to-date resource during times of natural disaster, helping those who want to give connect with churches and organizations accepting donations. began in 2009 as a daily deals/couponing blog with an emphasis on frugal living for the grace of giving (2 Corinthians 8:7). Through two years of hard work on this blog, promoting various giving opportunities, I have found that when a natural disaster strikes, such as in 2011 with Joplin and Tuscaloosa, there are many generous people who want to help by sending essential items (couponers, especially, through their stock piles), but there often lacks an organized resource for information on where to send donations. has received the most traffic during these times of crisis and now exists to help meet the need for connecting people's donations to crisis-stricken areas throughout the United States.
