Easy Homemade Dishwasher Detergent.

I was running out of dishwasher detergent and thought, "there must be someway to make my own for less money and without all the chemicals." I also like easy. After an extensive 15 minute internet search, I decided to try the following recipe. And, with my first load of dishes complete, I can attest that this is both easy and effective, with no cloudy, grimy dishes left behind.

All you need for one batch of dishwasher detergent is:
1 cup Borax
1 cup Washing Soda
1/4 cup sea salt

Ta da! Mix it up and store the detergent in a container (I used a mason jar). Use about 2 tbsp. of the mixture per load. Also, make sure to add white vinegar to your rinse aid to keep your glasses looking great! :)

And speaking of dishwashers, check out my previous post on our free dishwasher that still runs great: God Provides: Our Free Dishwasher!
