Help Oklahoma Tornado Victims: ThornCreek Church in Thornton, CO accepting donations!

Let's get those Disaster Relief Boxes in the mail!

I'm starting to compile a list of churches and organizations accepting non-monetary donations for tornado relief in Oklahoma. The ThornCreek Church in Thornton, Colorado (3751 Cottonwood Lakes Blvd, Thornton, CO 80241) is sending a response team and truck full of supplies to Oklahoma on Monday, May 27. If you can mail these to their office soon, they are requesting the following items:

CRISIS CARE KITS: These are simple items that are assembled into a zip lock bag. For information on what items to purchase and how to assemble the bags visit: http://ncmusacan.nazarene.org/NDR/Give/CrisisCareKits/tabid/675/Default.html

- WATER DRIVE: Immediately following a natural disaster, access to water can be severely limited. ThornCreek Church will take donations of water and/or Gatorade to assist those who have been affected.

- SUPPLIES: Various supplies are also needed including diaper, baby wipes, chain saws, tents, work gloves, safety goggles, etc. For a complete list visit: http://thorncreek.net/oklahoma

- FURNITURE & APPLIANCE DONATIONS: American Furniture Warehouse has donated a truck to take donations of furniture and appliances.

If you are a church/organization accepting donations, please contact me at kelly@fru-gal.org!
