Happy Columbus Day!

We have been singing "In 1492, in 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492," everywhere we go lately (it's stuck in my 3 year old's head). She even demanded I sing it to the checkout lady at Target, which I embarrassingly obliged to avoid a bigger scene. Here are some pictures from our week of learning about Christopher Columbus. We have one more craft to do today to finish our unit, which is making a telescope out of a paper towel roll.

We went exploring around our yard for 10 items that God made. Anna then drew some of the items on her "Exploring Journal."

Her finished Exploring Journal.
Anna's compass that she colored and then laced yarn through the outside holes.

We traced, stamped, and stickered the word, "telescope." She loves using stamps and stickers and it was good letter practice.
