Kid-friendly immune boosting tea using Thieves essential oil

It's cold and flu season and it seems like the crud is everywhere this winter! With three little kids, including an 8 week old, and a hubby with asthma, I'm being extra cautious to keep us healthy and flu-free (plus I'm praying like crazy for the Lord's protection).

If you don't own a bottle of Thieves essential oil, go get one now! This stuff is amazing and works time after time to fight off a bug or keep us from catching one in the first place. It's an essential oil sold by the Young Living brand (i.e. very high quality oil) and contains a blend of Clove, Lemon, Rosemary, Cinnamon and Eucalyptus therapeutic grade essential oils. It's really the only oil I use currently, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

If our family is feeling under the weather, I'll diffuse a few drops of this oil in our home to purify the air and help boost everyone's immunity. If my kids are going out in public, I'll put a drop of it on a cotton ball and rub it on the soles of their feet. And, after inspiration from a friend, I've concocted a really yummy fruit tea for the whole family that uses one drop of Thieves, lemon juice, and fruit tea of your choice (besides, my kids wanted juice and we were out, so this was a frugal, healthier replacement).

Simply brew a fruit tea of your choice (I used two bags of Celestial Seasonings Wild Berry Zinger and filled up my tea pot with water). Pour your brewed tea into a pitcher and add as much lemon juice as you'd like and add sugar to taste (you can also use honey or another sweetener of choice since sugar isn't a good immunity booster). Add ice if you're wanting a cold drink, like my kids prefer. Add one drop of Thieves (this stuff is powerful) and stir. Pour into mugs and enjoy the goodness!

Please remember to not ingest any essential oil that is not a high quality, pure oil like the Young Living brand. Do your research for proper use before ingesting any kind of essential oil.

  3. The application of natural and organic elements as therapy can also enhance the functions of the human immune system which is vital for the prevention of diseases. All these therapeutic elements are derived from nature's aromatic plants in the form of essential oils. humidifier
