Today's Grocery Trip: I Got My Free Turkey @ Shaws!

Today was the final day of the Shaws' free turkey promotion: spend $500 in groceries between October 8-November 18, get a $20 voucher for a turkey and extras!  I was about $55 shy of the $500 mark after my grocery trip on Monday, so I headed out of the house this afternoon, determined to score a free turkey! Combining the Box Top for Education Instant Savings promo with the current Pillsbury and Hamburger Helper catalinas, plus three methodical transactions later, I walked out of the store with my $20 voucher! After coupons and catalinas, I spent $11.79 for the above items! And I have about $20 in Box Tops to donate to a school of choice! I may have to give away my free Pillsbury crescent rolls as Christmas gifts, since I picked up 10 this trip and 8 on Monday!

Totaling up my transactions at Shaws since October 8th, I actually only spent about $320 out of pocket (not $500) to get the $20 voucher, as the money towards the free turkey was calculated before coupons!
