Fru-Gal Tip: Ignore "Gender Marketing" on Certain Toiletries!

Fru-Gal Tip: Ignore the "Gender Marketing" on Certain Toiletries!

So I've been a bit "in the closet" with this one tip that I often put into practice... I use men's body wash/deodorant/razors/shaving cream/etc... Gasp!

Okay, hopefully I'm not getting any strange man disease from doing this, but I have consistently found that I can get men's products for free or nearly free much more often than women's. I, of course, will opt for women's items if I have the choice, but free is free, and I'm just not that concerned about it.

I'm pretty sure that, besides the scent and the marketing on the front, men's body wash can still be used on, well, a woman. And, in an effort to not smell too "manly," I just use my "feminine" lotion and body spray afterwards. By ignoring the "gender marketing" on certain toiletries and mainly using free or nearly free products by playing the Drugstore Game and couponing, I save our family quite a bit of money over the year.
