Today's Lofty Goal: 4 Stores in 2 Hours?

I hope to hit 4 stores during Anna's nap time today (since Daddy works at home most days, this allows me to sneak out without the baby)! We will see if I can pull it off:

Target:
(2) Nescafe 8 ct. Instant Coffee Single Serve (free)
(4) Market Pantry Bagel Packages ($.74 each)
(4) 12 oz. Archer Farms Frozen Veggies ($.74 each)
(2) Purina Whisker Lickins Cat Treats (free, donations)
Free/nearly free apparel after apparel Qs?
Old Spice Body Wash, 1.7 oz (free)

Babies R Us:
Toddler Backpack Harness/Leash for airport on Monday (don't judge)

Safeway:
Free Nivea Lip Balm
Chicken drumsticks for Small Group Dinner on Sunday
Kikkoman Soy Sauce ($.99)
U by Kotex (free)
Campbell's Icon Soups ($.23 each)
Bird's Eye Steamfresh Veggies ($.66 each)

Rite Aid:
Oral B Complete Action Toothbrush (free)
Pert Shampoo (free)
Profoot Product (free)
Scope Mouthwash (free)

Most of these items are free after coupons and store rewards/rebates. I will try to post the full details/pictures and final outcome later today. Now that we are living on our own again in our new house, I would like to get my grocery budget back down to $40/week, as it was in Massachusetts. I'm still getting my feet wet and feeling out the local grocery chains. Safeway seems to be pretty good, I haven't tried King Soopers much yet (any suggestions on these two chains, fellow Coloradan couponers?)

Oh, and have you used a baby harness for your busy toddler in public places (i.e. the airport, Disneyland, etc...)? I'm flying solo with my 20 month old this upcoming week to New York and I'm a bit nervous about chasing after her in the airport. If you know her, you know that she is very active for a child her age, and able to do many stunts that I cannot do (like somersaulting off the couch onto the ground). She walked at 9 months, ran at 10. I already have her signed up for toddler gymnastics this Fall and could see her winning a gold medal in 15 years 5 years. Now, I just wonder if she would actually keep the harness on without a great "how could you do this to me and my freedom" melt down. :)

  1. First of all shopping in 2 hours is ALWAYS easier without a toddler in tow. I'll have to go back and look at Target again I didn't realize there were good deals this week. However based on your earlier post about the apparel coupons I scored a maternity swim suit (since I hope to start swimming soon) for about $6 total! Can you post the specifics on your other deals for there? And we have a backpack harness for Elijah. It keeps him close when we are places like the pumpkin farm last weekend. Hope all goes well!

  2. Thanks so much, Meghan! Where did you get the harness? I'm just about to head out on my coupon extravaganza trip! I will post details for you soon!

  3. I have seen them at both Walmart and Target. I actually bought ours at a local consignment store (come to find out it was for the same price as those stores!)
